News: Volunteers wanted
|
Want to have some fun this summer conducting tours of the sanctuary and helping to feed and care for the animals? Join our Wildlife Volunteers! You will attend a one-day training program, where you will learn what it takes to conduct a tour, keep our visitors safe, what to say as you show them the animals, and sign up for Family Fun Day Tour Guides, Camp Wildlife volunteers, or the weekday tours. Tour guides must be at least 16, have a drivers license and transportation, and be in good health (lots of walking).
This year we are making every effort to schedule all tours and camping programs in advance. This will allow us to pay our tour guides and Camp Wildlife volunteers. Be sure to complete your training and get your name on the list of qualified tour guides and Camp Wildlife volunteers that we will call to help with our programs.
We are also looking for some office and animal caretaker help. These special people will help book our programs, coordinate our volunteers and feed baby animals. For now, these are unpaid positions until donations allow us to convert committed volunteers to paid staff. Please consider donating your time to our life-saving work! |
